Andrew Williams.jpg

Elder Andrew Williams, Jr.

Co-Chairman

MDC Ministerial Alliance

Elder Andrew S. Williams, Jr., a native of Saint Louis, MO, has been ministering the Word of God for 18 years.  At the age of 15, Elder Williams - through the grace of God - was exposed to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ while attending Faith Deliverance Church of God of the Apostolic Faith under Pastor Simon Morrow. On Friday, May 30, 1985 he experienced the new birth, receiving the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gave the utterance.  The following month before his 16th birthday, he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of his sins.

The next summer the Lord moved his membership from Faith Deliverance to the Last Days Apostolic Church under the pastorate of Elder Arthur Roy Johnson Sr. where he remained for the next 11 years, being rooted and grounded in the Apostolic Faith.  Here he served in several capacities, being a faithful member of the Last Days Band, the Youth Department, the Audio/Visual Team, Pastor’s Aid, and the Laity Board. In 1997, Elder Williams became a member of Full Gospel Apostolic Church and served as the Church Musician, a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Pastor’s Aid President and Associate Minister under Pastor Marion K. Greene.  Elder Williams knew at the age of 16 that God was calling him into ministry and on May 30, 1999 (his spiritual birthday some 14 years later) he preached his official public message.

He remained at Full Gospel until the Lord moved him to the Grace Gospel Temple Church family in 2007, where he is now serving under Suffragan Bishop Paul H. Evans, Sr.  Here Elder Williams married his lovely bride Natasha, and God blessed their union with two lovely children - Constance and Andrew III.  At Grace Gospel Temple, he has served as the Assistant to the Pastor, Vice-President of the Ministers’ Auxiliary, President of the Brotherhood Ministry, a Youth/Adult Sunday School Teacher, and an Awana Official.  He is also one of the contributing writers for the Lessons for Living Book Series, a collaborative work spearheaded by Bishop Evans and published and circulated through Westbow Press.  He has written numerous lessons on the topics of holiness, evangelism, and on the “Heroes of Faith” as listed in Hebrews 11.

Elder Williams attended Bethesda Temple Bible Institute and Rehoboth Bible College.  He has been licensed as a Minister and ordained as an Elder through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (P.A.W.).  Elder Williams also serves as one of the appointed co-presidents of the MDC Ministers Alliance and also served as the second Vice-President of the Men’s Ministry of the Midwestern District Council of the P.A.W.  Elder Williams has developed a passion for ministry and a love for the people and things of God, and is determined to be found in the center of God’s will concerning the call upon his life and the missions God will lay at his charge.

Lawrence Morganfield.jpg

Elder Dr. Lawrence Morganfield, III

Co-Chairman

MDC Ministerial Alliance

Dr. Lawrence Morganfield, III grew up in St. Louis, MO.  He was baptized in Jesus’ Name at the age of 8 and received the Holy Ghost at the age of 10, both at the Bethesda Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith were Bishop James A. Johnson was his pastor.

He accepted his call to the ministry at the age of 17.  After graduation from McCluer High School, in Florissant MO. He attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, AR where he majored in Political Science. He later graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C. where he majored in Divinity. In May of 2018 he graduated from the Doctor of Ministry program at Covenant Theological Seminary.  Dr. Morganfield currently serves as one of the assistant pastors at Bethesda Temple, a post he was appointed to in 2013. He is also a professor with the Bethesda Temple Bible Institute and teaches the Ordination Class, a course for ministers who are ready to receive their credentials for certified ministry.

The Lord has given him a strong desire to see Christians all over the kingdom be educated about the will of the Lord for our lives. He believes that every church needs to develop a sound program for Christian education based on the Word of God. A sound philosophical statement is not enough, however, to experience the transformation of lives. What is on paper must be put into practice for it to make a difference and the only way that will happen is through Christian education. One of the many scriptures that help guide his ministry is found in Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Dr.  Morganfield is the husband of one wife, Sister Leatha Morganfield and the father of a son Jerry and a daughter Leah.
